Question by CATheist Laughs: From what I understand Obama is trying to force us to carry health insurance?
The way we currently have to carry liability insurance on our vehicles.

So if I don’t carry insurance are they going to fine me and if I can’t afford to pay the fine are they going to throw me in jail?

That’s sort of funny:
“hey what are you in for?”
“I don’t have health insurance”
Guess that means I will just have to start claiming more deductions and allow my bank account to sit vacant.

That policy is so stupid.

I support it with auto insurance because
1. It only forces you to cover the person you hit, not yourself
2. you don’t have to drive

but you shouldn’t have to buy health insurance for yourself.
maybe your kids….but not yourself.

Article by Heather Pulse

As psychologists, drug and substance abuse counselors, psychiatrists and basic counselors purchase and utilize professional liability insurance. Liability insurance is a type of insurance policy that covers damages that are not physical in most cases. Some clauses that can be added to a liability policy include Errors and Omissions liability, Privacy violation liability and basic malpractice pertaining to professionals.

A professional is held to the highest of privacy standards and a professional liability insurance policy will help protect the professional if he or she makes a mistake. When a patient visits a professional, that patient expects the professional to keep all information private and confidential. The patient is made to sign the HIPPA information and privacy forms at the beginning of treatment. The HIPPA laws in force protect that patient from unethical misuse of his or her information by the professional. The HIPPA disclosure also informs the patient how and when a person’s private information can be legally disclosed to third parties and what type of information can be disclosed.

This information is typically covered by patient client privilege as well; however, whether the professional does so on purpose or accidentally, sometimes, patient information is divulged to the wrong person or other privacy laws are violated. If this happens, it can result in damages to the patient including slander, libel and emotional stress for the patient. It can result in prison time, steep fines and revocation of the license to practice for the professional.

If a situation such as this were to happen, the mental health professional would need to defend him or herself against a claim. While the professionals employer may offer liability insurance protections as part of an overall benefits package or as part of the contract, this type of policy only defends the firm or the employer and not necessarily the mental health professional. For this reason, the professional should purchase a professional liability insurance policy that covers mental health professionals.

The private policy would also defend the professional first and not simply the firm or employer. This policy would cover any and all costs arising from a claim made against the professional regarding HIPPA violations including defense costs so the professional may fight to keep his or her license, loss of wages for time needed to defend the claim, and any malpractice settlements awarded the plaintiff of the claim brought against the mental health professional. While a typical liability insurance policy covers many items including pain and suffering, loss of wages, malpractice costs, medical costs, assault injuries, defense fees, settlement damages awarded a plaintiff and court costs, among other items, mental health professional liability insurance can cover much more and is worth the premium cost.

Best tips and advice for finding personal trainers

2 Best tips and advice for finding personal trainershttp://www.Zegee.com & http://www.wellness-networking.com

This video will teach you about how to find the best personal trainer for your needs.

The first most common way to find a trainer is via the Internet, second is through a word of mouth and the third one is through the gym where you have a membership.

There are many websites today that list personal trainers, but today we will focus on Zegee.com. The reason why I like it is because It has been around for a long time and it shows personal trainers’ detailed profile. As an example, let me show you a profile of one of the trainers on Zegee.com.

Zegee.com has a listing of 1000 of personal trainers.
Each personal trainer profile shows a face photograph along with a personal trainer summary showing:
cost per session,
years of experience,
gym affiliation,
certifications,
specialization,
liability insurance,
age and body type. You can also read about trainer’s style and see the trainer’s website.

Zegee.com is free you don’t need to sign up to contact the personal trainers.

The word of mouth is the second most common way to find a personal trainer.

You can ask your friends or co-workers and see if they have worked with a trainer that they can recommend.
It is important to remember a few things when taking your friends’ recommendations. First, It’s possible that your friends’ trainer can have personality traits that are compatible with your friend but not necessarily with you. Secondly, Working with your friends’ trainer can lead to loss of privacy especially if your trainer also trains your co-worker or a close friend at the same gym. If you are concerned with privacy, find your trainer on the internet. Even though all trainers keep all information confidential, some information that doesn’t pertain to training can still be exchanged. Lastly, a lot of clients like to work out with trainers they are physically attracted to and so can your friends. If you want a trainer to lose weight and get results, find a trainer on your own based on your own criteria.

Now, This is the least recommended method. You should use your gyms trainers only if you were unable to find a trainer through Zegee.com , friends or coworkers.

The 3 reasons why finding a trainer through your gym is not my favorite option are – first – because you are limited to the trainer selection that the gym offers, so are less likely to get what you really need or want.

secondly, most gyms’ management dictates rules which require the trainer to be more aggressive and inpersonal. Gym personal trainers have utilization reviews. If a trainer doesnt perform 20 or 30 sessions per week he or she will get fired.

Third, most health clubs want to hire the most inexpensive trainers so that they charge you 80 per session and they give the trainer $20 and keep the rest. Because of this, most bigger gyms employ trainers who lack education and preparation. LA fitness for example pays their trainers $8 per hour. Now – what quality of a triner will you get for $8 per hour. Ballys and most other big network gyms are similar. The bigger the gym, the less likely you will get a good quality trainer. This will be different in the very expensive health clubs which only employ trainers who have masters degrees in kinesiology, physiology and physical education. So if you have a membership in a prestigious gym, than you should be okay with their trainers.

So, to sum up – 1st and best way is to find a trainer via zegee.com or the internet. 2nd best way is through the word of mouth 3rd and the least effective way is through the gym where you work out. Thanks for your time and remember to always stay in control of your own health.
