Define cheap.
There isn’t much competition out there for medical malpractice, the rates are all pretty much the same. The biggest difference is in the tail or retroactive date – so if one policy is drastically lower than another, you can be pretty darned sure that you’re giving up coverage somewhere.
You need to talk to the doc that supervises you, and go to HIS agent to get a quote for your own.

It really depends on what State you are in to determine the availablity and markets. If you are an employee of a clinic you can usually be added to the clinics Malpractice for less tha a $1,000. in California. If you are on your own see an independent Broker who specializes in Malpractice because there are critical issues on these policies regarding "prior acts " and how to deal with them. Another option is to check your State’s nursing asssociation.
